Elizabeth Gayle Cochran

Elizabeth Gayle Parrett Cochran, age 72, of Vestavia Hills, AL passed away January 29, 2026. Gayle grew up in Sylacauga, AL and was part of the 1972 graduation class of Sylacauga High School. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority.

Gayle was the life of the party everywhere she went. She never met a stranger and had the biggest heart to help anyone or just be there to be a listening ear to those who needed it.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Cecil Wayne Cochran, her parents, Whit and Robbie Parrett, her brother, Robert Parrett, her sister, Nancy P. Blankenship, her Father in law and Mother in law John and Paralee Cochran and her brother in law, Roland Tyler

Gayle is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Michelle Cochran of Sylacauga, AL, her sister, Linda (Jerry) Thompson of Birmingham, AL, her sister in law, Linda Parrett of Sylacauga, AL, numerous nieces and nephews, and by her best friend, Linda Morgan Farley and the Amazing Grace Girls that she loved dearly.

Graveside services will be held at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo on Thursday, February 12th beginning at 2:00 pm with the Chaplain David Williams officiating.
