Elizabeth Apicella Sims

Elizabeth Apicella Sims of Birmingham, AL passed away May 28th, 2022. Elizabeth was born January 8th, 1986 in Birmingham, AL to parents Carmelo Joseph Apicella and Susan Gill Christian. She grew up in Vestavia Hills, AL. Elizabeth attended Vestavia Hills High School and graduated in 2004. She graduated from Jefferson State Junior College with a degree in Medical Transcription.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her mother, Susan Gill Christian.

She is survived by her father, Carmelo Joseph Apicella, her sister, Jennifer Anne Apicella and grandfather, John Robert Christian, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Aron Sims and two daughters, Layla Ruth Apicella and Susan Naomi Sims and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family cordially invites friends and family to a celebration of life for Elizabeth Apicella Sims Friday, June 17, 2022 from 11:00 o'clock in the morning until 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon at Heatherwood County Club. In lieu of flowers donate to Multiple Sclerosis or the charity of your choice.
