

He leaves his most beloved wife, Myrna, his gift of enchantment of 64 years, his sons Michael and Eric, three grandchildren: Savannah, Ethan and Zhuba and many close friends.
Manny attended Rhode Island School of Design on a full scholarship, graduating in 1952 with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering. He met his wife, Myrna at college and they were married in 1952.
Manny entered Officer Candidate School and graduated as an Ensign in the United States Naval Reserve. After serving in the Navy for four years, he was honorably discharged as an Executive Officer of an LST.
Manny came to Birmingham as a Senior Vice President of Avondale Mills, He was well-known in the industry as a creative force in developing innovative textile products.
Manny and Myrna were part of the group that founded and started Red Mountain School in early 1970. He served on the Board of Directors of the Crisis Center and was active with New Horizons at UAB.
A memorial service will be held on Friday , January 22 at 11:00 AM at John Ridout's in Homewood, Alabama followed by a reception at Valley Chapel.
His remains will be interred at Alabama National Cemetery,In lieu of flowers the family suggest that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
