Age 92, of Birmingham, died Tuesday April 23, 2013 at St. Martin’s in the Pines. She was born in Birmingham on September 16, 1920, to Henry John Ferguson and Edna Kramer Ferguson. Emelda was the widow of Ralph Aubrey Frye and of her second husband Ras Elijah Dodson. She is survived by her son Charles Edward Frye (Barbara), her daughters Margaret Frye Fox (Tom) and Elizabeth Frye Fox (Frank), and grandchildren Tom Fox, Claire Fox, and Alex Frye.
Graveside services will be at Elmwood Cemetery on Friday April 26 at 11 AM, the Rev. Dr. Maurice Goldsmith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Martin’s in the Pines Friends’ Fund, 4941 Montevallo Road, Birmingham, AL 35210, or a charity of your choice.
