

Eva Morgan Gruman passed away June1, 2016, peacefully, at St. Martin's in the Pines. Eva was born July 18, 1915 in Birmingham, Al. She was the daughter of the late Eunice and Orlando Hornsby and preceded in death by her two brothers Robert and Jack Hornsby. Eva is survived by her four children and their spouses Sonya Williams, Dale Morgan, Hugh and Genie Morgan, Hornsby and Piper Morgan. She was a loving grandmother to Terry Cole, Stephen Cole, Scott Cole, Suzanne McCann, Jack Flippo, Greg Flippo, Kim Pennington, and Hank Morgan. She also had numerous great grandchildren. Eva was married to Harrison Gruman who is survived by his two nephews, Stephen and Harrison Gruman, whom she loved very much. Eva celebrated her 100th birthday on July 18 last year at All Saints Episcopal Church attended by her children, her longtime friends, and her church family. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 7, 2016, 10:00-11:00 at All Saints Episcopal Church in Homewood followed by a funeral service at 11:00. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
