Frances Trapolino DeJohn

Frances Marie Trapolino DeJohn, age 97, met the Lord on August 15, 2014. Frances was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ensley until she moved to Hoover in 1981. She then became a charter member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she continued her faith walk. Frances was well known and loved by many as she practiced cosmetology from the early age of 16 until well into her 70’s. Most recently she has enjoyed church functions and outings with friends and her caregivers; Virginia Ward, Lisa Sanders and Lily Haygood.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband Anthony Louis DeJohn, her daughter Nancy Jean DeJohn, son Gerard Patrick “Jerry” DeJohn and daughter Prudence “Prudy” DeJohn Norris. She is survived by her sons John DeJohn (Jennifer) and Mike DeJohn (Susan); grandchildren Gina Norris Vansword (Jon), Lindsey Marie DeJohn, Tony DeJohn and Michael DeJohn; great-grandson Austin Vansword; and many nieces and nephews.

Services for Frances will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Hoover. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 with Mass at 11:00. May she forever rest in peace.
