George M. Boles

George Boles, Age 71 of Mountain Brook, died on December 9, 2011. Mr. Boles was a native of Scottsboro, Al., a graduate of the University of Alabama and the Cumberland School of Law. He was a member of the Alabama Bar Association and a partner in the law firm of Weaver and Boles. He also served as Assistant District Attorney in Huntsville, Al and Municipal Judge in Trussville, Al. Mr. Boles was an avid golfer for much of his life. He taught Sunday School at South Avondale Baptist Church for 30 years and attended Canterbury Methodist Church for the past 17 years. Survivors include son, Matt Boles of Arlington, VA; daughter, Bonnie Banks of McKinney TX; Brothers, Mickey Boles and Ricky Boles. He is also survived by his dear companion, Fay Hill and his beloved pet "Lilly Grace". Memorial service will be held 2:00 on Monday, December 12, 2011 at the chapel of Canterbury United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
