He was born on July 24, 1935 to the late Raymond and Ila Shepherd. Harold served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1959. Following his discharge he started his career with Bell Telephone Systems, where he worked until his retirement in 1991.
Harold is survived by his loving wife Sara Shepherd and his little 4 legged companion Tia.
A visitation will be held at Ridout's Valley Chapel on Monday, December 7th beginning at 9:00 am with a memorial service following at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Alabama National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
