

He is survived by his wife Connie; daughter: Tiffany Kristen Morrow (husband Jackie Miller); son: Tory Russell Morrow (fiancée Jennifer Ariel); grandson: Gunner Russell, expected in November; stepdaughter: Tenille Moore (Adam) and two step-grandsons: Aiden and Pierce Moore.
Russell was preceded in death by parents: James R. Morrow, Sr. and Dr. Jeanenne S. Morrow; brother: Robert Stanley Morrow and the mother of his children: Sherri Morrow.
He was a graduate of Indian Springs High School. He attended University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and UAB
in Birmingham, Alabama.
Russell was co-owner and President of Morrow Railroad Builders, Inc., established in 1994 with his parents, Donald Cales and Ralph Wright. He genuinely loved and appreciated his business associates and employees.
Russell was a long-standing and devoted member of Second Presbyterian Church of Homewood. He was an Elder, frequent liturgist and a strong supporter. Russell was also a faithful attender of a weekly men’s interdenominational Bible Study Group.
If you knew Russell, you knew of his love for all things outdoors. He especially loved hunting and fishing. He pursued his passion with great enthusiasm and always shared his bounty with others. He was a member of the Burnt Mill Hunting Club which he established in 2003.
Russell was giving and loyal to his many friends. He was kind and generous. His strong faith in God guided and sustained him.
A memorial service has yet to be scheduled.
It is requested by the family, in lieu of flowers, donations be given to Second Presbyterian Church, 1300 Columbiana Road, Birmingham, AL 35216; or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
