Janice F. Scholl

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. And Mrs. John A. Fincher, her sister Judith F. Neill (Bill) and her husband of 25 years, Paul Karl Scholl, Jr. She is survived by her step-son Marc Scholl (Kara), two beautiful grandchildren, Ryan and Joseph; her brother Dr. John A. Fincher, Jr (Brenda) of Bristol TN, his children and grandchildren: Brooke Miller(Richard) children Jack and Nick, Justin Fincher(Maricruz) children Ruby and Arlo; Lauren DeVine(Josh) child Molly. Judy’s children and grandchildren Erin Marmelstein(Adam) children Daniel and Benjamin; and Scott Neill.

She graduated in Mathematics from the university of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and obtained a Masters Degree in Computer Sciences from UAB in Birmingham. Throughout most of her career, she enjoyed the privilege of working with a special team headed by Dr. John Kirklin and Dr. Louis C. Sheppard to develop and perfect a closed loop blood and drug infusion system. She worked with Hewlett-Packard to incorporate it into their post cardiac surgery software.

Janice traveled extensively and loved traveling, she always had the next trip planned. She led a full and productive life.

Janice wishes not to have a memorial service. Remember her in your own way.
