

Mrs. Santina was born January 27, 1922, in Washington, D.C., to Herman Jamison Galloway and Mabel Warner Galloway. She graduated from National Cathedral School for Girls and attended Oberlin College and George Washington University before marrying William Neville Reynolds in 1941. At the age of thirty-eight, widowed with six children, Mrs. Santina was accepted into the Druid City Hospital School of Nursing. She graduated in 1964, won the Booth Award, and was voted the best all-around student. She was offered a nursing position at the University of Alabama Russell Student Health Center where she practiced nursing for 30 years until her retirement, serving the last 20 years as the Director of Nursing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister Alice (Marshall) Head; her husbands, William Reynolds and Henry Santina; a daughter, Sharon Anne Reynolds and a son, Robert Lloyd Reynolds. She is survived by her daughters Jeanne (Theron) Wells, Virginia (Ronald) May, Anita Santina (Evan) Wilson and sons David (Linda) Reynolds and Charles Reynolds; nephews, Michael Head and Christopher (Anne) Head; her grandchildren Laura Wells, Theron Wells, III, Susan Reynolds, Jessica (Arturo) Sanchez, SPC Jeffrey May, Jeremy Wilson, and Elliott Wilson; her great nephew Ryan Head and great nieces Jessica Head and Elizabeth Head.
A memorial service will be held at Canterbury Chapel Episcopal Church and Student Center in Tuscaloosa on February 11, 2016 at 3:00 p.m.
Mrs. Santina’s family expresses deep appreciation for the loving care provided by South Haven Rehabilitation and Comfort Care Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
