

John was born on September 25, 1969, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and moved to Birmingham, Alabama, at an early age. He graduated from Mountain Brook High School in 1988 and went on to attend Samford University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
John was deeply proud of his service to his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Desert Storm campaign.
Professionally, John was a man of many talents. He owned and operated Agelient Information Systems, a private investigative company, for many years. Later in life, he followed his passion for cooking, attending the Virginia Culinary Institute. Most recently, he served as Executive Chef at The Fennec Restaurant in Birmingham, where his creativity and love for food were on full display.
John was a member of Mountain Brook Baptist Church and most recently attended Church of the Highlands, Irondale Campus.
He is survived by his parents, John Q. Williams and Jan H. Williams; his brother, Jason P. Williams (Lisa); his children, John Thomas Williams of Birmingham and Elizabeth Holbrook Williams of Atlanta; and their mother, Elizabeth “Betsy” Williams of Birmingham.
John loved cooking and spending time with his cousins, family, and friends. He was known for his sharp wit, great sense of humor, and the joy he brought into every room. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Brookwood Baptist Church. A private burial service will take place at Montevallo National Cemetery.
