I remember Josh as a little boy. My daughter, Wallace Burns, often played at your house, along with her best bud, Zain Shamsuddin. As a child, Josh was sweet, smart and fun. May memories of those days of innocence increase as time passes and bring you comfort remembering the happiness Josh brought. Please accept our family's heartfelt compassion at this sad time. As a mother, I mourn with you.

Thank you for sharing that Jonah died because of his addiction. By doing that you very well might save other lives. My prayers are with the family during this very tough time. Remember you didn’t cause the addiction and you could not control the addiction. Jonah is free now. 

We were so sad when we heard of Jonah’s passing. I remember him as a beautiful, athletic boy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

There are no words.  Ethan called me in tears with the news of this tragic loss. He and Jonah had been friends for a long time. When I remember spending time with Jonah - his gentle soul is the first thing that fills my mind. We would commiserate on our unilateral hearing problem ….and he was just so easy to be with, talking about anything. What a joy. Addiction is a terrible disease and I’m just gutted that it’s taken another precious spirit. Prayers going up for you all during this time. There are no words for your pain. 🙏🏼

Our son, Gunner, played soccer with Jonah back when they were 10-14 years old. They were good friends and spent some time together off the soccer field. Jonah was so beautiful and always wide open and funny. Such a super polite child whenever he was speaking with me. 
My heart breaks for his family. Praying for you all today and in the days ahead. I’m so sorry.

Hello, my name is Zion Bethel. When I was younger I knew Jonah for quite some time and know that he was very in tune with his emotional side. He was creative and loved to adventure into unknown territories fearlessly. I pray for his soul, and for his family as well. I know these times are hard, but remember that God is in control always and in times of trouble it is always better to run to Him to seek refuge ✝️🙏🏾💜

Jonah and Zain were beautiful childhood friends in Birmingham, AL. I remember many a day the two of them playing far into the evening swimming, skating or running about, they had so much energy,. Both small in size they could out run most. The Dennis family were kind and loving to all their children and any others who graced their home. Jonah was a bright and shining star and will be deeply missed by all he touched. We send our love and prayers during this difficult time and keep all of the family in our hearts.
