June Evans, 93 died peacefully on Saturday June 9th. She was born and raised in Rock Creek (Morgan County), Alabama. June was a breast cancer survivor of 22 yrs. She was retired from the Social Security Administration. She is preceded in death by her husbands Clifford M Moses and John James Evans Sr. She is survived by a daughter, Ruth Moses Lovell of Tampa, Florida, a son, John James Evans, Jr. (Bonnie), grandson Jim Evans, (Carmen), granddaughter Jennifer Evans, and a great granddaughter Nevaeh Evans, all of Birmingham. June was a member of the Debonairs Club and a faithful member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, Homewood. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood on Tuesday, 5-8pm. Service will be Wednesday at Ridout’s Valley Chapel at 11 am with a graveside service in Fairview at the Fairview Baptist Church at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
