

Larry Daniel Walker, was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1945 and was raised in Blount County, Alabama, where he spent his childhood, finally settling down in Birmingham, Alabama where he peacefully passed away at the age of 78. Larry was a dedicated Veteran of the Vietnam era, having served proudly in the United States Air Force for four years where he displayed an unwavering commitment to his country and fellow servicemen.
Following his military service, Larry embarked on a fulfilling career with the Federal Government, where his dedication and hard work left a lasting impact until his well-deserved retirement.
Larry's passion for travel led him to explore numerous countries throughout his lifetime while fostering a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and experiences. His adventures were a testament to his adventurous spirit and inquisitive nature.
In Birmingham, Larry met his life long partner/companion, David Paisley. For an incredible 45 years, they stood together as a symbol of enduring love, commitment, and unwavering companionship, savoring each day they spent in one another's company.
Larry and David shared their home and their hearts with several beloved pets over the years, including their current dogs, Bama and Oreo, who brought immeasurable joy and companionship into their lives.
Larry is survived by his loving partner, David Paisley, his brother Randy Walker and his wife Cindi Walker, as well as two nieces, Page and Elizabeth, including two great-nephews, three great-nieces, an Aunt and many cousins. Larry's family held a special place in his heart as he treasured the moments spent with them.
In quieter moments, Larry found solace in pages of books and exploring the world through his readings. He also had a deep appreciation for classical music, which brought him great joy and tranquility throughout his life.
Larry Daniel Walker's memory will forever resonate in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. His kindness, sense of humor, and love for life will be cherished and remembered.
A graveside service for Larry will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 at1:00 PM at Forest Hill Cemetery, 431 60th St. N., Birmingham, AL 35212.
