It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lindsey, who left us at the tender age of 41 on August 7, 2024, just days shy of her 42nd birthday. After a courageous battle with cancer, she leaves behind a legacy of beauty, strength, and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone she encountered.
Lindsey was the cherished wife of Hunt Mobley for 13 beautiful years. Together, they created a loving home in Birmingham, AL, raising three precious children: Mae, Cooper, and little Helen. Her love for them was endless, and her memory will forever shape their lives.
Born in Memphis, TN, Lindsey was raised by her loving parents, Kent Thompson (and his wife, Priscilla) and Jayne Reagor (and her husband, Jim). She shared a very special bond with her brother, David Thompson (and his wife, Sarah), who will always carry her memory in their hearts.
Lindsey's beauty was radiant. She had a unique ability to connect with others, and her relationships with her friends were incredibly important to her. Even in the face of adversity, her spirit was indomitable; she displayed admirable strength and grace, along with an extraordinary ability to appreciate the simple joys that life offered, inspiring those around her to do the same.
As we mourn the loss of Lindsey, we also celebrate the beautiful life she led and the countless memories she created. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and wonderful group of friends, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In honor of Lindsey's life, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10th, at Saint Luke's Episcopal Church in Birmingham, AL, with a visitation held prior to the service at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial gifts be made to the LM Zebra Fund in the UAB Division of Gynecologic Oncology. Gifts can be mailed to UAB Gift Records, AB 1230, 1720 2nd Avenue South Birmingham, AL 35294-0112 or online at https://go.uab.edu/lmzebrafund. Gifts can also be made to the Saint Luke's Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
Rest in peace, dear Lindsey. We love you.
