

Louise Bowman Minor, age 92 passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013. She was the oldest child born to Robert Lloyd and Flora Inzer Bowman on May 6, 1920. Louise worked in retail sales, including manager at Top Dollar Stores in Anniston and Bargain Town in Leeds and Birmingham after retirement and the death of her beloved husband she returned to work for Dollar General in Tarrant until the age of 86. She was a devoted Baptist.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband George H. Minor; sister: Virginia Coleman; and brothers: Rayford Bowman, Albert Bowman and Max Bowman. She is survived by her daughters: Faye Helms and Linda Blankenship; her son in law: Gerald Blankenship; and sister: Evelyn Dumas. Also left to treasure the wonderful memories are her grandchildren: Pamela (Phillip) Dodd, Kenneth Nix, Belinda Hall, Anita (Jeff) Massey, Barry Collier, Daniel Blankenship and Ashley (Marshall) Kidd; her great grandchildren: Angela, Eric, Kendra, Jennifer, Brock, Paige, Justin and Addison and her great great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Kaylie, Keelan, Colt, Nate, Kennedi, Kenzli, and Jax.
She is also survived by sisters in law: Betty Bowman and Dot Bowman and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds on Sunday, March 17, 2013 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a chapel service following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
