

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Jetta Jean, and youngest son Matthew Wright. He is survived by his oldest son Michael Wright, granddaughter Emily (Matthew) Wilson, and great-grandson Nolan Wilson.
Mr. Wright served in the United State Merchant Marines during World War II and was a member of National Maritime Union, and a member of Marine Engineers Beneficial Association, serving as Third engineer. He was a member of I.B.E.W. (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Local Union #136. In 1951 Mr. Wright was elected as an outstanding apprentice of the graduating class and served on the Executive Board. He was Vice President of Junrman Electric Inc. for 17 years and served 9 years on the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee and was a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association. Mr. Wright was a member of Cahaba Heights Masonic Lodge #887 in 1956 and 1957, serving as worshipful master.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 12th beginning at ten o'clock am at Ridout's Valley Chapel with the funeral service being officiated by Dr. Bill Johnson following at eleven o'clock am. Burial will follow at Currie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Hoover.
