Lucille Parsons

Lucille “Lucy” Crim Parsons passed away on January 10, 2025. She was born November 6, 1947, to the late Horace and Annie Edmonds Crim in Bibb County and grew up in Talladega. Lucy moved to Birmingham in the late sixties and that is where she met Mac Parsons. Lucy and Mac were married until his passing in 2011. Lucy was a long-time member of North Highlands Baptist Church in Hueytown and later joined Southside Baptist Church in Birmingham.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents Horace and Annie Crim, her husband Judge Mac Parsons, her brothers Lowell Crim, Robert Crim and William Crim and by her sister Sarah Lackey. She is survived by loving daughters Jennifer Parsons Humber (Frank) and April Parsons Matheny (Paul) and by her grandson Conner Pope. Also left to treasure her memory are her brothers: Harvey Crim, Ronald Crim, Mike Crim. Carlton Crim, and Steve Crim her sisters Myra Crim, Bernice Randall and Sadie Messer and by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood on Friday, January 17th beginning at 12:00 pm with the funeral service following at 1:00 pm. With burial following at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer.
