Margery Rawls Brantley

Margery Rawls Brantley, age 86, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away May 20, 2013. Marge was born in Mobile, Alabama on October 8, 1926. She lived most of her life in Birmingham as a homemaker. She was a long-time member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Mountain Brook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junius Brantley. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Brantley Dobson and her husband Roy of Loganville, Georgia; her son, Junius Lee Brantley and his wife Andre of Mountain Brook; her two grandchildren, Jason Lee Brantley and his wife Laura, along with Bryant Brantley Davis and her husband John, all of Birmingham. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Kate and Whit Brantley, as well as several cousins.

Marge enjoyed playing tennis at the Mountain Brook Swim and Tennis Club with her friends. She also loved her time at the beach in Destin, Florida with her family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 3736 Montrose Road, Birmingham, Alabama, with the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Saint Luke’s. A graveside service will follow on Thursday, May 23,2013 at 11:00 AM at Magnolia Cemetery in Mobile, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Marge Brantley to St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
