Marian Regina Serra

Marian Regina Serra, 67, of Vestavia Hills, AL, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 4, 1955 to Vincent Stevan and Helen Lapine Serra. Marian graduated from Piedmont Hills High School in San Jose, California. A devoted wife and mother. A managing owner of her restaurant, Terra Madre and a Human Resources Manager before retirement. Of all of her titles, her proudest was "Nonnie"... Marian had a deep love for her family, grandchildren and grandpuppies and would say their hugs were the best medicine. She loved her Italian heritage, was an excellent cook and had a passion for cars, especially the fast ones. She was a life-long learner with a brilliant mind. She was a prayer warrior, especially for her children and grandchildren. Her strong faith carried her through her most difficult days.

Marian is predeceased by her parents, and her sisters, Clara Ann Serra and Donna Maria Serra-Pennington. She is survived by her children, Marc Granata (Steven) and Stacie Rohn (Jared); grandchildren: Caroline Rohn, Emily Rohn and Andrew Rohn. Her siblings, Peter A. Serra and Anthony F. Serra (Margaret) and beloved nephews and nieces. She also leaves behind many cuginas whom she loved dearly.

A visitation for Marian will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 4600 Preserve Pkwy, Hoover, AL 35226, followed by a funeral service from 12:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to John Carroll Catholic High School, Guardian Angel Fund.
