Mary Lynn Hickman Gray passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. She was born in Birmingham, AL to Roy D. Hickman and Dorothy Dunkerley Hickman. She was a wonderful daughter, mother and friend who never met a stranger. She loved talking to people and helping with anything she could. She loved all animals, but dogs especially. She graduated in 1997 from Samford University with a Bachelors in Business. She was very active in the community and her church. She will be missed by many.
She is preceded in death by her parents (Roy and Dorothy Hickman) and daughter (Laura Gray).
She is survived by two daughters: Kathryn Wainscott (Justin) and Jeanie Gray; and four grandchildren: Mary-Kate, Charles and Henry Wainscott and Peyton Gray.
A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to ASPCA.
