Of Talladega, Alabama passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, the daughter of Ernest Jean & Mary Johnsey McMeans.
She is survived by her husband, John R Hackney II; two sons Christopher Clay Hackney (Paige) and John R Hackney III (Trish); six grandchildren, Madison Simmons, Jordan Simmons, Addie Hackney, Baylee Hackney, Bronwyn Hackney and Fain Hackney; her parents Mr. and Mrs. E.J. McMeans; two brothers Ernest McMeans (Donna) and Andrew McMeans (Janice) and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Talladega, AL.
Graveside services will be held at Elmwood Cemetery on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10am with Pastor Wes Brandon officiating.
