Mike Ware

Dennis Michael (Mike) Ware was born January 26, 1950 in Auburn, Alabama in the Auburn infirmary while his father was in school at Auburn University. He passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2016. Mike Ware had a big heart and never met a stranger. He loved people and made new friends everywhere he went. He loved sports especially basketball and his Auburn Tigers. Mike graduated from Auburn University in 1972 and was so proud that all three of his sons received degrees from Auburn. He is preceded in death by his parents William H. Ware and Marion Pilgrim Ware. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janis Ware; children Jason and Amy Ware, Kevin and Janelle Ware, Brian Ware and Trina Cobb; siblings: Duane and Brenda Ware, Susan and Don Pike, Tim and Leslie Ware, Jim and Claudia Williams; many nieces and nephews; and beloved dog China.

The family will receive friends at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood on Wed. Sept 14 from 5:30pm-6:30pm with a service to follow. Rev. Duane Ware will officiate. A graveside service will be Thurs. Sept 15 at 10 am at Crestwood Cemetery at 2209 E. Broad St, Gadsden, AL 35903
