

Faithful, devoted, hard-working and honest, Patsy was born on April 17, 1945, living a life marked by dedication to her family and her community. She was the daughter of the late James McNiese and Lena Mae Smith McNiese.
A member of Ashby Baptist Church in Brierfield, Alabama, Patsy was a graduate of Bibb County High School. She had a fulfilling career as a picture-framer and served as a foster parent for over 30 children, demonstrating her deep commitment to providing care and support to those in need.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, James Creel; by her brothers, Ed Hubbard and Charles Hubbard; and by her sisters, Emma Parker, Ella Crews, Oneida Tucker, and Joanne Hoggle.
She is survived by her four children, Larissa C. Benton, Michelle C. Kyzer (Steve), Pamela C. Collum, and Patti C. Lloyd (J.T.). She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Smith, and her brothers, Johnny Hubbard (Martha) and Nelson "Skipper" Lucas (Carol). Patsy was blessed with 9 grandchildren, Jonathan, Lauren, Jordan, Lindsay, Hilary, Jared, Brooke, Justin, and Alexis, as well as 14 great-grandchildren, Devyn, Hanna, Mason, Case, Noah, Jaelyn, Colton, Brooklyn, Braelyn, Hanley, Maggie, Kaislyn, Aiden, and Emilio. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Patsy loved her family dearly, gave the greatest hugs, and always expressed her love by saying, "I Love You." The family feels blessed to have had such wonderful parents who believed in family and loved deeply.
Friends and family are cordially invited to the Graveside Service being held at Noon on Monday, the 24th of November, at Ashby Baptist Church Cemetery in Brierfield, Alabama.
Services are under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel (205.879.3401) in Homewood.
