Bob George age 83 of Birmingham, Al passed away February 27, 2020. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, and a member of the US. Coast Guard. He was employed by Southern Natural Gas for 35 years . Bob was a member of Highland United Methodist Church, following retirement Bob and Martha volunteered at the Greater Birmingham Humane Society
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Martha H. George, Brother David E. George (Bunnie) and sister Linda G. Ball (Floyd), and brother in law Johnnie Morris. nieces Karen Coalson ( Tim) , Marcia G. White (Scott), Mallory Thornton (Daniel),Nephews Ken Morris (Joy), Michael Ball, and several great nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation and reception at Ridout's Valley Chapel on Monday, March 2, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM conducted by The Rev. Mikah Hudson.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that donations be made to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
