After graduating from Pennsylvania State University, Bob embarked on a remarkable journey, serving as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1965, achieving the distinguished rank of Captain. In the cockpit of the F-4 Phantom, he fearlessly pushed boundaries, reaching speeds of Mach 2, a testament to his courage and skill.
Bob's professional journey continued with the Dow Chemical Company, where we he last served as Corporate Account Manager. His dedication spanned 26 years, leaving an indelible mark on the company. In 1994, he gracefully transitioned into retirement, embracing a new chapter in life.
Choosing to reside in the serene surroundings of Venice, Florida, Bob thrived for 27 vibrant years. He enjoyed playing golf and making lasting memories with cherished friends and family. His infectious sense of humor created laughter-filled gatherings that became legendary among those fortunate enough to partake.
He leaves behind a legacy that extends beyond his professional achievements. Bob is survived by his loving twin brother, Richard Parry (Patricia), and his adoring daughters, Alison Parry (Eugene Sekiguchi) and Susan McMullan (Andrew), who have inherited his spirit of resilience and strength. His memory will be carried forward by his five cherished grandchildren, Jack Buckley, Rob Buckley (Elaine), Will McMullan, Evan Sekiguchi and Mia Sekiguchi.
In honoring his wishes, a private memorial service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery, where we will come together to celebrate the remarkable life of Mr. Robert Parry, a man whose impact was as profound as his spirit was enduring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Truth Initiative Foundation. https://truthinitiative.org/
