Robert "Bob" Wilson, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, peacefully passed with family at his side. Bob served in the US Air Force as an Airman First Class. He graduated from NC State with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and traveled world-wide as a specialist in secondary lead smelting. Bob enjoyed playing tennis and was known by all to lend a helping hand. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Judy, his daughter, Lisa Wilson, his son, Rob Wilson (Kimmy), two greatly beloved granddaughters Emily and Anne Wilson and his brother Joe Wilson (Barbara). Bob was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Visitation will be held at Ridout's Valley Chapel at 1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL 35209 on Thursday, December 26 from 3 - 5 PM. The Memorial Service will be held at Mtn. Brook Presbyterian Church at 3405 Brookwood Road in Mtn. Brook at 11 AM, preceded by a reception at 10 AM. Burial to follow at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mtn. Brook Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society
