To some he was “Dan,” to others he was “Dr. Dan,” and to his beloved grandchildren he was affectionately known as “Gang.” His abundant love for his family was unwavering, and his vibrant passion for life was unrelenting. Whether he was traveling solo on a railway across the country, exploring exotic corners of the world with family and friends, tending to his beautiful gardens, building tiny towns in his model-train room, or discussing the day’s events with his grandkids, every moment for him was a great adventure. A father, grandfather, and dear friend to so many, he was happiest when he was surrounded by the laughter of those he loved. His professional dedication, compassionate heart, and generous spirit made him an inspiring role model. His quick wit, infectious smile, and magnetic personality made everyone he met feel special. The world will forever be a brighter place because he was here, and he will be truly missed by the countless people who adored him.
