She is survived by her husband, Charles Rubin, who was also her very remarkably loving caretaker. (He didn't write this.) She is also survived by her brother, Jimmy Williams (Debbie) in Montgomery and daughters, Kerri O’Brien and Shannon O’Brien, and her grandchildren, Sean, Peyton, Brian, Kasey, Braedon, Daxon, CJ, and Lexi. We can't leave out her beloved pets, Subway, Bear and Murphy.
Sharon graduated from Fairfield High School. She retired from her position as judicial assistant to Sr. Judge William Acker at U. S. District Court in 2015, where she was known as “Biro.” All of her many, many friends will always remember her beautiful voice and comedic sense of humor. She will be missed by all of us.
We want to thank her doctors at Brookwood Hospital and Emory University, Alacare Hospice, especially Suzanne, Jackie, and Kim from the Pell City office, and the maker of Diet Sunkist (in lieu of Chardonnay).
Visitation for Sharon will be Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood, AL. A service celebrating Sharon's life will begin at 3:00 PM followed by a reception at Valley Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alacare Hospice.
