Vincent Anthony Saia

Vincent Anthony Saia, age 91, of Vestavia Hills, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Mr. Saia was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Jennie Saia; wife Mary Saia; brothers, Nick Saia (Josephine), Lee Saia (Josephine), and Claude Saia; Daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Saia; parents-in-law, Frank and Lena D'Amico.

He is survived by his children; Joseph Saia (Julie), Jennifer Saia Dawsey, and Vincent Saia Jr. (Angie); sister-in-law, Inez Saia, grandchildren; Caroline, Joe, Matthew, Jack, Abby, Sarah, Madalyn and Luke.

After graduating from West End High School, Vincent founded several businesses including Saia Pet Supply Company and Ram Inc, where he worked until age 89. Vincent was also involved in many civic organizations including the Oxmoor Rotary Club and the Birmingham Touchdown Club. Vincent was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church for over 50 years. He was also an Auburn football season ticket holder for over 50 years.

The family will have a private graveside service on Monday, January 24, 2020 at Elmwood Cemetery.
