Last week, our angel, Williette Dejournette rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings.
Williette was the matriarch of our family. One whose passion was caring for others. If she didn't have she'd make a way to get it done. Many knew her as (Ma Woo) within the community. She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother, a mother figure to many and most importantly, she was a shinning light to all she met.
Take time to grieve and heal and always remember that even though she's gone, those embers from that fire in her eyes still live on.
Williette is survived by her father Willie Dejournette and her mother Phyllis Wright. Her daughters Alisa Garcia and Adrean Dejournette. Her husband Cortez Gulley. Her grandchildren, Aliyah, Messiah, Mariah and Maleek. Her younger sibling Orpheus Dejournette.
In-laws: Adam gulley and Helen gulley
She was preceded in death by her son, Tramone Mitchell and her older brother Andre Dejournette.
Her service will be held at Ridout's Valley Chapel on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM, friends and family are cordially invited to her service and a time visitation from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Valley Chapel in Homewood, AL.
