

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Yvonne Joseph, of Hoover, AL, passed away June 28th, 2015 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joe J. Joseph, her siblings Joseph Dennis, Edward Dennis and Laurice Bubke and her parents Mike and Wadia Dennis.
Surviving to keep her memory are her six children: Rene’e Kennedy (Randall), Marsha Smith (Billy), Dennis Joseph (Linda), Pamela Moore (Rick), Joe A. Joseph (Tricia) and Lauren Smith (Hal). Fourteen loving grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren also survive her. Also surviving her is one brother, George Dennis.
Yvonne was a lifelong resident of the Birmingham area and was a graduate of Ramsay High School. She worked for many years beside her husband who owned the Triple J Ranch House Restaurant in Alabaster. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic and St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church and a former member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, and was a member of the Ladies Altar Sodality in each.
Yvonne was very active in the service of the community and received the Flora Mae Pike award in 1996 for her service to the City of Hoover. She was tireless and served in many charitable and civic organizations and was an officer in several of them: Ballet Women’s Committee (President and Poinsettia Ball Chairman), Hoover Belles (President), Symphony Show House (Chairman Tea Room), Hoover Beautification Board, Friends of Hoover Library (President), Southern Voices, Republican Women’s Club of the South, Humane Society Auxiliary (Chairman), Birmingham Opera Guild, Salvation Army Guild and March of Dimes.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m, July 6th at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church and a funeral Mass will follow. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
