Anne W. Valentine

Anne W. Valentine, 65, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on Tues., Sept. 4, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. A native of Brooklyn, New York, she was born February 5, 1947 to Salvatore and Anna (Egert) Gioe and moved to Homosassa ten years ago from Central Islip, L.I., NY. Anne was the former owner and operator of Valentine Design on Long Island and locally enjoyed memberships in the Loyal Order of Moose, Crystal River, Florida and the Ladies of the Elks in Homosassa. Mrs. Valentine was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church in Homosassa. Anne was very a very talented artist in painting and sewing and was a member of the National Sewing Guild. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, George D. Valentine, Sr., Homosassa, Florida; son George D. Valentine, Jr. (wife Michelle) of Lakeland, Florida; daughter Christine Zlobinski (husband Yuri) of Abington, PA; daughter Lori Webb (husband Robert) of Centereach, L.I., New York; siblings Edward, Deborah and Frances and grandchildren George, Katrina, Geoffrey, Gregory, Emily and Natalie. Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, Sept. 7th at 6:00 P.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, Florida with Fr. Ronald Marecki officiating.
