Barbara Ann Whitney, 70 of Homosassa, FL died Sun., June 5th, 2011 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River. She was born July 14th, 1940 in St Louis, MO and came to Homosassa in 1984 from St Louis. Barbara was a retired secretary for Sugarmill Woods Sales and a member of the Bible Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters Michelle Leeper and husband Paul of Lecanto and Melissa Rozelle and Cecil Dye of Homosassa; grandson Jeremy Rose of Ocala, FL; granddaughters Bethany Tidwell and husband Tony of Homosassa, Tricia Durham and husband Rob of Citrus Springs and Jennifer McCreary and husband Paul of Homosassa; special friend Tom Hallam of Hermann, MO and 6 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 4:30 pm, Sat., June 11th at the Bible Baptist Church, Crystal River with Rev. Thomas Reeves officiating. Family will receive friends Sat. from 3:30 pm until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations in memory of Barbara Whitney be given to the Bible Baptist Church, 5704 W. Norvell Bryant Hwy, Crystal River, FL 34429.
