After graduation, she attended Fisher Junior College in Boston before transferring to complete her studies at the University of Delaware. Chari married her husband, Ronald, in February of 1963; Ron was also a Sanford graduate and a U. of Delaware student. They relocated to Tempe, AZ while her husband earned a Masters degree, then returned to the east coast to reside in Wilminton, DE, later relocating to Elkton, MD for 25 years. Charie was mother to 3 children, Justine Shulman of Leesburg, VA, Tracy Juergens of North East, MD and Mitchell Rosenwald, PhD, of Fort Lauderdale, FL. For most of her life, Chari was a homemaker, raising her family while assisting at the family store, Faez Apparel Shoppes, a longtime Elkton landmark ladies’ apparel store. Chari was manager of the Montgomery Ward Catalog Agency she co-funded in Elkton with her husband. When the children grew up, she was an Office Manager for several local business in the Elkton area and then Assistant Manager for Main Towers, an apartment complex for the elderly in Newark, DE. She was also, later, Office Manager for the Real Estate and Appraisal office owned and operated by Ronald in Maryland, DE and PA.
Chari retired along with her husband in March of 1994 to Sugarmill Woods in Citrus County, FL. where she resided at her death. While here, she developed a love of working with arts and crafts and enjoyed her shared time with Ron driving their 1973 Mustang convertible and working with the charities of the Citrus County Cruisers Car Club. Chari loved traveling the USA in their RV, having camped in 49 states, and was an active ham radio assistant to her husband’s hobby of mobile ham radio operation. This activity alone allowed her to develop deep friendships in all 50 states and several foreign countries. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed watching tennis, golf and Bucs football on the TV. She was a member of several “survivor groups” for cancer patients having successfully beat the disease for over 10 years, all while enduring 2 knee and 2 hip replacements along with several other serious operations associated with the disease.
