Ray Griffin, 75, of Crystal River, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at his home. A native of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, he was born April 28, 1941 to Henry and Callie (Maness) Griffin, one of six children. Ray was a resident of Citrus County for nearly 50 years and among other occupations he had, was an auto mechanic. Ray is survived by his four siblings Joanne Sheppard (husband John), Evelyn Zamora (husband Rene) and Lena Huggins (husband J.T.), all of Homosassa; Ernest Griffin, Marianna, FL and stepbrother Lee Bauknight (wife Connie), Inglis, FL. as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brother Ballard Lane.
