Cleona "Bootsie" Sue Reid

Cleona “Bootsie” Sue Reid, left this world Thursday December 3, 2020 and went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born May 11, 1965 in Charleston, West Virginia. When Bootsie was young she moved to Old Homosassa, where she attended and graduated from Crystal River High School. Shortly after graduating high school she met her soul mate John Russell Reid in 1983 and was married on April 21, 1984. Shortly after she gave birth to daughters Nicole Sue Reid, and Jodi Lynn Reid. Bootsie’s home church was Crystal River Church of God for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family going to amusement parks, Cedar Key, St. Augustine, and camping. More recently she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and spoiling them. Bootsie had a contagious smile and laugh that would light up any room. She had such a good Christian heart and personality that she made friends with whomever she met while sharing the gospel. Bootsie is survived by her Husband John Reid; their Daughters Nicole Gardner, husband Shawn Gardner and Daughter Kaitlyn Gardner; Daughter Jodi Stacy, husband Andrew Stacy, and their three kids Brian, Gabriel, and Jasmine; Sister/adopted mom Linda Ferguson, Adopted dad Johnny Huggins; Sisters Karen Wisenbaker, Pat Mills, Terri Sims; Brothers John Huggins and Cody Huggins. Friends will be received on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020 from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. at Crystal River Church of God, 2180 NW 12th Ave., Crystal River where a funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Ronnie Reid officiating.
