Douglas Wayne Tittle, 70, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at his home. A native of Dayton, OH, he was born February 27, 1953 to Dale and Maxine (Cox) Tittle, one of three children. Douglas enjoyed a long career with Chevrolet Motors as an auto body technician and came to Homosassa four and a half years ago from Pinellas Park, FL, where he had lived for over 40 years, and Douglas was also the proud founder and owner of Pawpaw Uber Service. Mr. Tittle was a talented and gifted restorer of classic cars, and was especially proud of his 1950 Mercury, but also built a 1923 Ford T-Bucket and named it Misty Blue. His perfect day would certainly include spending time with his family and friends during barbeques and picnics, but he also loved going to car shows and swap meets. He was fond of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean movies and also loved watching Western shows. When he was working in his garage, 1950’s doo whop music would always be heard. Douglas was also a bluegrass music fan. In addition to his parents Dale and Maxine, he was preceded in death by his stepfather James Pearson and brothers Walter and Daniel Tittle. In addition to his wife of fourteen years, Evelyn Faye Tittle of Homosassa, he is survived by his children Shawna Tittle, Pinellas Park, FL; Tonya Archambeault (Shawn), Lake Panasoffkee, FL; Christina Costello (Gabriel), Pinellas Park, FL; Ryan Earls (Mark), Largo, FL; Doug Tittle (Sherry), Mattituck, L.I., NY; Katherine Rowe (Ken), Kenneth City, FL; Susan Moore (Patrick) and Abner Begley (Roseann); grandchildren Syarrah and William Costello, both of Pinellas Park, FL; Nathan Archambeault (Gennivieve), Coleman, FL; Savannah Collins, Largo, FL; Makayla and Kameron Rowe, both of Kenneth City, FL; Kylie, Nicholas and Leah Earls, all of Largo, FL; Olivia Dauer and Lucas Morse, both of Mattituck, L.I., NY; Jordan and Jacob Carroll, both of Zionsville, IN; Evan Moore, Zionsville, IN and Zeke and Noah Begley, both of Spencer, IN, and one great grandchild, Baby Archambeault, due in July of 2024.
