Evelyn (Billie) Scher passed away peacefully on February 23, 2011 at the age of 97. Billie led a very full and active life surrounded by her loving family and numerous friends. She was born in Michigan, and she graduated from Olivet College with a B A in music. She taught choral music at the elementary school level for many years. After her retirement she moved to Sugarmill Woods where she involved herself in many activities. She took up bridge and golf, and actually hit a hole in one when she was eighty-five years old.
Her love of music kept her very active in the community. For many years she was the accompanist for the Sugarmill Woods Chorale. At the First Presbyterian Church in Crystal River, she started the bell choir, sang in the choir, and played the piano.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Sadie and Frank Wilson; her husbands, J. Austin Kronemeyer, Donald Snavely, and Jerome Scher; her brother, Earl C.Wilson; and her sons-in-law, Ronald J. Chase and J. Houstoun Clinch.
She is survived by her son and his wife, David and Jean Kronemeyer; her daughter, Kathleen Chase Clinch; her grandchildren, Tammy Jennings and her husband Joe, Kevin Kronemeyer and his wife Ela, Kristin Barclay and her husband Michael, Sharyn Leaver and her husband Scott; and her sister-in-law Mary Couzens Wilson.
