The Class os Dundee High School 1963 has lost one of it’s shining stars. He will be  missed by all who knew him in Dundee, Barbeau, and Homosassa. He was a friend to many everywhere he lived.  RIP Jack. My prayers and sympathy go out to Linda and his family.  Janice (DeSimpelaere} Russell

To the family of Jack VanLooy I send my heartfelt condolences 🙏🏻 My name is Margie VanLooy(Burrell)- a former Dundee High School  classmate of Jack’s. I have so enjoyed seeing Jack and is wife Linda at our class reunions over the years.  He always had that “twinkle in his eye” - he is no stranger to mischief and fun!  What a lot he has accomplished in his lifetime since those high school years . Thank you to the family for sharing the wonderful photos- I can see he was very much a “family man” and loved by so many friends as well!

So many memories! Jack was truly one of a kind and the life of the party.  We had many unforgettable stories that are told countless times because they meant so much to us.  I feel lucky to have met Jack and his tremendous family a long time ago, and am sad to lose a great friend. 

Linda, Jack Jr., and Marnie - I pray for your comfort during this tough time.  What a special man, and what a gift Jack was to everyone that met him.

Jacks light was SO bright!  Countless great memories aboard SWAT .  Trips to the Bahamas,  Fishing in the Keys,  Most Outstanding catch in the Ladies Sailfish Tournament 1997…. Just being around Jack and Linda I felt welcomed and appreciated…. A man of integrity, a good good man.  A GREAT sense of humor.  A man whose legacy will live on in the hearts of those that he touched and there are MANY!  Linda, you’re in my prayers.  May Gods peace comfort and fully cover  this huge unimaginable loss….Our loss is Heavens gain …..  Remember, Love lives forever. In your heart.   Thanks for a ton of good times !  Wow what an impact you made here, Jack!  Well done, Sir.

I have many good memories of  Uncle Jack growing up as the first mate on the S.W.A.T. charter boat. In many ways he was like a second father to me and he will be missed dearly.

Jack and Linda… I am so sorry to hear about Jack. I can still picture him in his favorite spot at the Cozy ready to share his joke of the day. He was one in a million!

Jack belonged to a generation of our family that deeply understood the value of tradition and connection. As the organizer of the family reunions, he worked to keep the threads of our history woven tight. 
Some of my fondest childhood memories are of the absolute joy at those family parties—the room filled with singing, the laughter, and the beautiful sound of instruments playing into the night. Jack leaves behind a legacy of harmony, family connection, and a song that will play on in our hearts forever.

Doug and I came up for the 4th of July celebration  to play music with Uncle Elwood at Uncle Jack’s and Aunt Linda’s restaurant in Michigan ~ so much fun!!! I was taking pictures and when I said his name , well, his smile says it all! 
Your fun loving character ,and harmonies when we played music, will truly be missed.
