Jean Hurst

Thelma Jean Hurst, of Homosassa, FL, died on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at her home with family by her side. Jean was born April 8, 1934 in Cross City, FL. Predeceased by her husband Marvin E. Hurst and younger sister Jo Stephens. Cherishing her memories are daughters L. Jeaneen (George) Hollingsworth and Charlotte (John) Brown; grandkids Scott (Stephanie) Hollingsworth, Andrew Brown, Terri (Jim) Kerrigan and 5 great grandsons. Her sister Lavonne Edwards, nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as special friends. Upon official retirement from the military for Marvin, they made Orlando their home. Jean served as Worthy Matron for the Orlando Chapter of the Eastern Star #131 and retired as Postmaster of Gotha, Florida in 1996. Jean relocated to Citrus County among family and new found friends. As we are left to celebrate her life on Earth, she has begun her next journey.
