

Kenneth F. Weaver, 97, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Tues., Dec. 5, 2023 at Tampa General Hospital Crystal River in Crystal River, FL. A native of Grand Rapids, OH, he was born the only child to Benjamin and Thelma (Russell) Weaver. Ken served his country honorably and proudly in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II as a radio mechanic from 1945 to 1947. He was a retired factory worker for Chrysler Corp. in Toledo, OH and was Christian by faith. After his retirement from car making, his career evolved into buying and building homes and then flipping them whenever possible. Mr. Weaver was also a savvy investor, buying and selling stocks. Ken was an avid coin collector; owned his own airboat and pontoon; and loved going out to eat. One of his favorite restaurants was the La Casita Restaurant in Crystal River, where he could be seen enjoying his favorite Mexican style shrimp cocktail. Ken was a Lifetime Member of the VFW, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and also the American Legion. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his first wife, Marion (Cochran) Weaver, on April 7, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 15 years, Dana Sheryl Weaver of Homosassa; son Terry Weaver of Swanton, OH; daughter Linda Gordon (husband Dan) of Morrisville, NC; daughter Rebecca Johnson of Ohio; stepson Rodney Monhollen; and grandchildren Andrew and David Gordon and Tara Barber (husband Matt) and great grandson Blake McHenry. Friends will be received on Fri., Dec. 15, 2023 from 10:30 A.M. until 12:00 Noon at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, where a Celebration Of Life will commence at 12:00 Noon.
