
Lawrence Amos White, 83, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Mon., May 16, 2016 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River, FL. A native of Cheboygan, MI, he was born Nov. 24, 1932 to Herman and Ellen (Pennington) White, one of five children. Dumpy, as he was known to many, enjoyed a 35 year career as a long distance truck driver and moved to Homosassa in Nov. 1990 from Menominee, MI. Mr. White served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and was of Native American descent and a member of Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, Sault Ste Marie, MI. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Waltraut Ruth White, Homosassa; son Scoby White, also of Homosassa; son Randy White (wife Marilyn), Somonauk, IL; son Dale White (wife Debbie), Sandwich, IL; son Doug White (wife Margaret), Patterson, MO; brothers Mike White, Cheboygan, MI and Frank White, Inkster, MI; sister Betty Phillips, Trenton, MI; grandchildren Lina, Robert, Michael, Cindy, Dale. Jr., Nick, Ryan, Adam, Nicole and Chrissy and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by his brother, Herman White. Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, FL
