

Margaret Eloise Collins (Swope), 75, of Homosassa, FL, passed away at home on Mon., Dec. 15, 2014 after a short illness with cancer. Born in St. Petersburg, FL on April 24, 1939 to Luther A. and Oma D. (Bright) Swope, one of five children, she was raised in St. Petersburg. Eloise, as she was known to everyone, is survived by her husband, Arthur Collins, Homosassa; daughter Theodora Roselani “Lani” Swope, San Diego, CA; grandson Justin James Fonseca-Swope, Hawaii; her four stepchildren: Arthur Collins, Jr. of St. Petersburg; Sharon Howard, Detroit, MI; Scott Collins, St. Petersburg and Glenn Collins, Detroit, MI; sisters Dolores Clevenger, Baton Rouge, LA and Barbara Corbett, St. Petersburg and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Sara McMillan and Edna Mae Carter. She will be missed by her many friends and family. Her laughter and her avid love for the Bucs and the Tampa Bay Rays will be missed by all who knew her. A special “thank you” to the great hospice nurses who made her final days so much easier.
