

Maureen K. Gilbride, 69, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on February 22, 2012 at her home. A native of Astoria, Queens, New York, she was born May 11, 1942 to Edward and Julia (Mahoney) Gilbride. Miss Gilbride, known also to many of her friends as "Moe", was a lifelong registered nurse and held a number of college degrees in the field, including her Master's. Maureen moved here in Sept. 2006 from Manhattan and was currently employed by Advocate Home Health Care in Lecanto, FL. Her extensive career in nursing led her to positions in New York with NYU Medical Center, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, and also GHI, where she served in Case Management. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church in Homosassa, FL and is survived by a sister, Betty J. Sanok and her husband George of Homosassa, FL; brother Edward Gilbride and his wife Dolores of Madeira Beach, FL; nephew Edward and nieces Kimberly and Krista; nine grandnieces and nephews and many cousins.
