

Miriam D. “Sam” Eble, 80, of Homosassa, passed away on Sun., May 12, 2013 at her home. A native of Seattle, WA, she was born Nov. 21, 1932 to Nickole and Ellen (Finch) Del Duca, one of three children. Mrs. Eble moved to Homosassa 14 years ago from Lockport, ILL and during her working life, held a number of secretarial positions. However, showing a substantial degree of talent and diversity, she loved also her position as a deckhand for the Washington State Ferry System in the Puget Sound. Upon arriving in Homosassa, she became a faithful volunteer to Hospice of Citrus County and the Citrus County Animal Shelter; organizations that will surely miss her dedicated and loving presence each day. Miriam was also a proud board member of the Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection. Sam, as she was known to many, is survived by her husband Edward R. Eble, Homosassa, with whom she shared 26 years; daughter Nicole Vickery, Shoreline, WA; son Kelly Lippincott, Tacoma, WA; granddaughter Morgan Jones (husband Mark), Arlington, WA and great grandsons James and Anthony Jones, also of Arlington, WA. Mrs. Eble was preceded in death by siblings Richard and Janice. A celebration of Sam’s life will be held at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa on Tuesday, May 21st at 6:00 P.M.
