Sam, I will forever miss your warm smile and keen appetite for controversial (and always interesting) conversations.  You were like a box of chocolate...you never know what you were gonna get but you always new you were gonna find a good, warm hearted person.  I wish I could have told you in person but I want to thank you for being such a wonderful part of my Dad's life for all these years.  You brought great joy and amusement to his life and for that I will be forever grateful to you.  Dad, I look forward to catching up with you soon.  You are in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for some of the best memories I have from my childhood. I consider myself very lucky to have gotten to know such a wonderful human being. You always had such a positive attitude, could never hurt a fly, and could instantly turn a stranger into a best friend. I could go on and on about the amazing qualities you've shown me throughout the time I spent with you but there may not be enough room in this guest book. I will never forget such an inspirational woman and I am grateful for the constant love and support you and papa gave me. I feel so grateful to have shared so many memories with you. From going to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, to making jewelry at the kitchen table in Homosassa, my sisters and I were always having a wonderful time with you. Thank you for being such a strong, inspirational woman to look up to. I feel very lucky to have had you in my life and would like to thank you for everything you did for my sisters and I. You loved us as if we were your own grandchildren and we love you as if you were our grandmother. I will miss you very much, but I know you will still continue to brighten up our lives. Miriam was Miriam! A one of a kind, original, and very special gal! Family get togethers were always so much more fun, when Miriam was a part of them! We loved being able to call her cousin and friend. We will miss her notes and calls and visits so very much.
Our hearts weep for you, Ed, and for you, Nicki and Kelly, as well as Morgan and Theron.

I will always remember our visits to Homosassa Springs and summer travels with you and Papa to Wiki Watchi, Busch Gardens, Orlando, and even crystal mining. Your constant positive attitude, free spirit, passion for life, sense of humor, wisdom, and honesty are unforgettable and inspiring. You always spoiled my sisters and I as if we were your own grandchildren, and I consider myself lucky to have had an extra grandma! We will continue to call Haley "Helen" in your honor, whether she likes it or not. I will miss you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family, and of course, with Papa always.

Sam was a great neighbor. She always had time to say "hello" and give me her beautiful smile as well as kind words. And a firecracker she was ... the spice of life!  Her love for animals and dedication to helping others shows us what a wonderful person she was and gives me faith in humankind.  I'll miss you Sam.

I will miss Miriam big time!  She was a wonderful presence and a joy-bringer.
She loved life and enjoyed everything and everyone.  We were friends in High School and lived together one college year.  We had so much fun-thru the years--I treasure all the memories!  We had a 67 year friendship.  I was Blessed to have her in my life.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. I will miss her wonderful smile and how much she enjoyed my baked goods. God be with you.

Sam could always put a smile on my face!  She was a firecracker bursting with energy - no cause or battle too small or too large for her to tackle.  Sam always left me with something to think about - and usually a gift of something she had enjoyed.  

I will miss her infectious laugh, her ready smile, and her boundless ability to hope.  I feel blessed to have called her my friend.

To Ed and her family, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Yours was truly a great loss.

The world was a better place when Miriam was in it!  Our mothers were sisters; Miriam was my earliest playmate.  When we started school, we didn't see each other often, living some 30 miles apart, except for family occasions.  Years later, both of us middle-aged, we bumped into each other shopping in Seattle.  
Miriam could brighten a room by walking into it.  She was smart, industrious, thoughtful: everything you would seek in a friend.  Ed, Kelly, Nicole, grandchildren and great-grands, I know you are hurting.  Please know that Miriam  will never completely go away: Sometime you will see something that reminds you of some witty thing she said; or you'll remember something she told you when you confided in her.  I miss you, Miriam.  RIP

Each time I saw Sam, she offered up an encouraging word, a big smile, and a box of cookies. I will miss her so much, but I truly believe she is watching over our pets who have crossed over and who are waiting for us in the most beautiful place. I love you Sam.
