Russell Ralph Wright

Russell Ralph Wright, 63 of Homosassa, FL died Wed., Sept. 14, 2011 at his home. He was born Oct. 12, 1947 in Wilkes-Barre, PA to the late Walter J. and Margaret R. (Bloom) Wright. Russell received his Associates degree from Wilkes College and his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. Russell spent thirty-one years at AT&T/Lucent Technologies, where he retired as Product Manager in 2001. After several years as VP of Marketing at TCSI Corporation and President/ COO of National Broadband, he and Penny moved to Homosassa in 2005 from Hackettstown, NJ.

Russell was a loving husband, father and doting grandfather. He was an avid golfer, wood worker, and enjoyed rebuilding street rods, NASCAR, genealogy and astronomy. Next to his family his greatest love was his four Shih Tzu’s. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Penny L. Wright; sons Russell E. (Melissa J.) Wright of Hackettstown, NJ and Scott J. (Allyson L.) Wright of Flanders, NJ; brother James J. Wright of Wilkes-Barre, PA; and 6 grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 pm until 4 pm, Sun., Sept. 18, at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, FL. Friends will also be received Wed. and Thurs., Sept. 21 & 22, in Chester, NJ at William J Leber Funeral Home.
