

Thomas “Tom” Paul Fink, Sr. age 72, passed away suddenly this Thursday, December 14, 2017 at West Marion Community Hospital, Ocala, FL. He was born November 2, 1945 in Pittsburg PA to Edward L. Fink, Sr. and Elizabeth M. Fink of Pennsylvania. In his youth, his entire family relocated to Dade County, FL where he attended Southwest Miami High School in Miami. There he met and married his one love in life Carol A. Knotts in 1966. In the early 1970’s they relocated to Homosassa, FL to raise his family. He began working in the propane industry with Public Gas in Miami and completed his career with Heritage Propane in Lecanto, FL, retiring in 2014 as the District Manager. Throughout the years he was employed with Public Gas, Tex Gas and Suburban Propane where he received many awards and accolades.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying surfing and scuba diving in his youth. Tom could always be found outdoors with his family doing the things he loved most, enjoying beautiful sunsets, fishing, boating and picnicking on his island in the Homosassa River. When not on the water, he could be found working at his farmstead where he and his grandson raised goats and chickens.
Tom is preceded in death by his father and mother Edward L. Fink, Sr., and Elizabeth M. Fink, his wife Carol Knotts Fink, and a daughter Elizabeth “Lee” Fink. He is survived by his daughter Debbie Fink; his son, Thomas Paul Fink, Jr. wife Glennis LeBlanc; youngest daughter Mia A. Fink, partner Adam Heater; brother Edward L. “Jim” Fink, Jr.; sister Barbara Kleer and former husband Bill Kleer and only beloved grandson Thomas E. “Tommy Bear” Fink.
A viewing will be held at Wilder’s Funeral Home, 4890 South Suncoast Blvd., Homosassa, FL, Tuesday evening December 19, 2017 between 6:00-8:00pm. A requiem mass will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 11:30 am in Saint Benedict Catholic Church, 455 South Suncoast Blvd., Crystal River, FL, 34429. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held for family and close friends following the mass at Peck’s Old Port Cove, 139 N Ozello Trail, Crystal River, FL 34429. In lieu of flowers the family asks for sustainable arrangements that can be planted in memoriam. Thank You
