It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William R. Lutes, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who left us peacefully on February 26, 2025, in Homosassa, FL he was 82. Born on August 27, 1942, in Hamilton Ohio, William dedicated 21 years of service to the U.S. Navy, including three combat tours in Vietnam, a testament to his bravery and commitment to his country.
The "Chief" is survived by his loving spouse of 60 years, Cathie, children Nick (Beth) and Angi (Kerry), and three cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Jacob, and Andy.
A service to honor William's life will be held at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home in Homosassa, FL on 7 March, Friday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. His life and service will be celebrated by family, friends, and fellow veterans.
